Uni of Adelaide and PowerTec Team Concludes the Hot Test of the “AESKB” Battery Energy Storage System

The University of Adelaide team (from left): Gabriel Haines, Alex Lloyd, Assoc. Prof. Nesimi Ertugrul (all UoA, team member Graeme Bell missing), and Michael Jansen (PowerTec), after concluding the joint hot test with SA Power Networks of the “AESKB” 270kVA/270kWh Battery Energy Storage and Network Control System at the Thebarton university campus. The PowerCache® system is now being deployed to the remote town of Cape Jervis, where it will support a grid segment with combined feeder and sub-station peak load lopping, feeder voltage stabilisation, and autonomous on-grid/off-grid operation.
